If I don't reply within a few days it's possible that your message got caught in some kind of filter, so it may be worth resending it. I will always reply!
E-mail is the best way to initiate contact with me, because I receive it on all of my devices, check it daily, and monitor it even during times when I am abstaining from social media. Matrix should be just as reliable, although I'm still getting used to self-hosting a homeserver (so it could go down sometimes).
Alternatively, if you shout loudly enough, I may hear you.
